Guilt By Association

October 5, 2008

Not being a licensed attorney I can only suggest that my impression as a layman of guilt by association indicates that you cannot charge or convict an individual by virtue of their being socially associated with another who is found guilty of a crime. Guess what, we the American people are not contemplating a case with this Presidential Election whose venue is in District Court in Anytown USA. This election is for keeps and determines the health of the economy, two or three wars and your safety right here in the Homeland. It is being more and more troubling as Sarah Palin began the new procedures about exposing Obama and his past connections and acquaintances. I personally would stop at nothing to get at the truth and I am sure that under normal  circumstances, a presidential candidate is not going to be convicted of anything. I do not consider vetting of this kind guilt by association. If something is going on with someone who may end up as the leader of the Free World, let's stop parsing legality or etiquette, the voters must be informed of any matter that portends any implication that would be potentially adverse to our nation.
