Barack Obama and his campaign has been issuing cease and desist orders to the press since he warned them to stay away from Michelle in the primaries. They thrive on softball questions and as in the case of the Orlando Caper where Barbara West, a top journalist asked Joe Biden a tough one for a change about his assurances of a massive incident that would test a neophyte President, the campaign took decisive measures to lock out that portion of the press. All of this wimpy behavior is not unconstitutional at all, Obama does not have to answer any questions preferred by anyone unless he has been deposed. Joe Biden is a "cigar store Indian"in Congress where he has been situated for 30 years (we used to see them in the'50's as deadwood statues in Upper Manhattan candy stores) and he was completely insulting when he insisted that the reporter required a ghostwriter to craft her questions. That being said, neither candidate has violated Freedom of the Press or acted improperly toward the press by being evasive or forcefully excluding them from interviews. Should Obama become President, this great country has checks and balances such as impeachment and vetoes to make sure that elected Presidents tow the line Constitutionally. High profile media people are, however, getting angrier as evidenced by their appearances on Sunday talk this Am. Obama and Biden are cutting off their nose to spite their face by stepping on the Lion's tail because then the Lion roars. There has always been a symbiotic relationship between the press and high profile candidates. A fauna example would be the shark and the sucker fish. Whatever the case may be, Obama is starting to ruffle feathers with the Press, this time covering Biden. Going into a first time Presidency, feuding with the Press is at the least ill advised and counterproductive.
