Ron Howard was straightened out by Chris Wallace of Fox News who stood up at a meeting the other day and corrected Howard's ridiculous and unsubstantiated speech about the comparisons he drew between the Watergate years and the Bush Administration. This preposterous analogy is typical of a bored Hollywood actor or director who does not realize that political analysis or science requires credentials and specific university history in order to be taken seriously. Constitutionally, Ron Howard with few limitations can say whatever he wants. I remember Opie as walking through the woods with a fishing pole and whistling all the way with Andy Griffith. When I need a PSA test, I go to my urologist and not my chimney sweeper. Leave unto Caesar what is Caesar's. Additionally, Hollywood society and every one connected with what goes on out there since the talkies has never been associated with legitimate and moral conduct as opposed to other vertical markets. Therefore I would say that in these awful global and domestic times, maybe the Hollywood crowd should stick to reading lines and directing emotions. Stirring up the average Joe's out there with what amounts to delusional poppycock is not the job of movie people. Although I have had my issues with Chris Mathews and Charley Gibson I think that they are nevertheless the proper professionals to be addressing political matters in America and admittedly, I am sure that these credible newsmen will stay out of the director's chair.
