The other day President Obama got snippy with Rush Limbaugh, Conservative radio spokesman. I saw the tiny dig Obama gave him as creating the very thing that a media personality like Rush can make hay on. I think that it was Betty Davis who said "I do not care what they are saying about me, I just do not want them to stop talking about me". I agree, Rush Limbaugh, now equipped with an acknowledgement by the President of the United States for better or worse gets more publicity for the cause listeners and more limelight. I knew a New York State politician who told me 20 years ago that in the straight wins he accomplished by strong margins he never would mention the name of his opponent. In a similar fashion, movie critics will often neglect to mention the name of a small time actor that offended them in a Hollywood restaurant. So I think the remark by Obama actually was of great value to Rush and if the President keeps highlighting our Republican Conservative personalities and commenters he will only elevate their message and personal status.
