I heard the explanatory speech today on my satellite radio as I drove to a neighborhood destination. It was not a mea culpa dissertation featuring self responsibility. So I wanted to devise some light humor however this one is slightly interesting and thought provoking when you dice it up. It is an old World War ll story that has not been repeated too many times father to son as in my case. Here goes:
A Navy contingent in full dress were ordered to line up 100 strong for inspection on the deck in 15 minutes, shoes spit shined. After taking their position in line up, the inspecting officer proceeded to one end and looked right down the formation. Immediately, the officer noticed that one solitary Navy man toward the middle of the line up was 3 inches forward, his name was Joe. The officer stormed over to Joe and confronted him harshly, after all this was the military. The officer yelled at Joe and asked him why he was out of line. Joe replied instantly, "I am not out of line, Sir, everybody else is".
THIS STORY ACTUALLY HAS A NAME---- "EVERYBODY ELSE IS OUT OF LINE BUT JOE"
