There is a laundry list of domestic and global problems that may end up twisting us up due to the sheer numbers of fires to be put out. A good suggestion is to prioritize this list and if civil in nature begin to pare it down in light of the Times Square Attack, The Gulf Oil Spill and nuclear proliferation in the Mid East. Obama went down to Louisiana to view the devastation of the Gulf Oil Spill. He went into his remarks by saying that BP would pay for everything and he said it vehemently. Assigning blame and assessing penalties is definitely going to be a long drawn process because percentage of fault is subject to testimony and BP is not going to go quietly. If they lose bad there goes our oil prices at the pump. As far as Goldman is concerned, a trial balloon sent up would be a settlement and send them back to work under supervision. The point is if the Obama administration goes back to hammering these two conglomerates it may distract them from fixing the economy and lowering employment. the global problems are situations where much more attention should be dispersed. With what we have going down now the Obama administration might find it more valuable to settle the time wasters and protect our citizens from what we all saw was a potential catastrophe. Jay R
