I do not want to take anything away from the Obama administration and their creating more jobs report of late. To Obama's credit, the economy does show signs of improvement however gas is over $3.00 and climbing, interest rates are creeping up a little and the administration is still massaging the numbers. We writers all know that the Census workers will soon join the ranks of the unemployed. New York City where I grew up has suffered massive layoffs in teachers and train workers although the unions may repair some of this. Companies will always jettison expendable workers in a recession and retain those who cause a profit. Mayor Bloomberg of New York is suggesting a total of 11,000 workers. He is a businessman and knows what he has to do in this economy to save his city. So should we recalculate Obama's numbers to reflect the lost jobs? I would also want to know if these jobs will support families and if they have benefits. Again I will never criticize the President for an accomplishment but I would like to see a little more transparency in the reporting of economy data.
