I saw on the news tonight that there is a 100,000 count website protesting BP and their work in the Gulf Oil Spill. Other individuals are picketing and boycotting. the BP service stations. I am not a stock holder in BP but a journeyman freelance writer and I tell you that nobody can put a dent in a huge conglomerate like BP. Half the time we are buying their goods and services and do not even know it. The service stations are selling gas approaching Memorial Day because thousands of people do not even follow the news. We call this the arrogance of power and BP will not be going anywhere. I would like to hear anyone making noise over this suggest a replacement contractor. It is one thing to shout down BP but then make your proposal. Our government has not fired BP because they know that they themselves do not have the technological ability to handle this. BP has the contacts and consultants and unlimited exposure to esoteric equipment and high level personnel. Again, I do not have a dog in this fight but I am pretty sure we need as point man a huge corporation in the oil vertical market. Do these disgruntled people want to change horses in midstream? If they think they can harm the bottom line of BP, they are playing handball on the curb.
