Somewhat Presumptuous

President Obama has made a couple of campaign trips down to New Jersey to help fellow Democrat John Corzine achieve reelection. Obama said something on the stump that I am a little confused about, especially in light of the abysmal economic hole we are mired in as Americans. Obama said that he needed Corzine to win so that he with his record could help Obama continue his agenda. How does Obama know that New Jersey voters want either politician to continue the current agenda. Something does not make sense to me.

Leave Unto Caesar What Is Caesar's

Whenever the Obama administration comes to a decision and either goes their own way or listens to the Generals informed decision, I have led my entire life based on the hackneyed and shop worn aphorism subjected above. It is a big part of my present and continuing success.

Here We Go Again

As many of you know, I covered Election 2008 from the first day of the primaries. I still do not understand that if any one of us were to sit down at a computer and hit Excel and chart the gaffes, the associations, the insults, the impossible to understand speak from the podium, we would be out of graph lines. Do you realize that this continued on almost a daily basis until today? How could all these implications and events add up like this? It is global and domestic in scope. I am from a mixed neighborhood, all races and ethnic groups slammed together on Manhattan's Upper West Side in the 1950's. I did not have a TV so we would spend our summer nights standing with a bag of cold cherries in front of the Radio Clinic on 98th street and Broadway so we could watch Lucy and Ernie Kovacs through the huge picture window showing 50 TVs on the same channel. Black, White and Puerto Rican in front of that store, never a problem. To this day I have never had a problem that can be threaded to race. So I have to listen to these ultra rich politicians and entertainers decide what is good for the Black community has they play the R word all day. I think Black people can speak for themselves, many of them as professionals have succeeded in this economy much better than I have. The conundrum for me, a Republican who absolutely disagrees with the administration's domestic and foreign policies, is that as opinion polls confirm, I like Mr. Obama as a human being and I think he is a brilliant Harvard lawyer and as shown recently in the Congressman Wilson matter a class act in settling disputes amicably and without repercussions. After that point of view I dispute everything else his administration has put on the table. So in summary, Mr. Obama and his family and friends are welcome at my house or a neutral location anytime and I will welcome them. My feelings about him personally have nothing whatsoever to do with my belief that this country is headed in the wrong direction and now there is a real big controversy ready to blow, I think there is gonna be trouble in them thar hills. Maybe he is being advised by too many  individuals in view of the fact that he came in with no CEO experience, something everybody was well aware of.

The Mack Is Back McCain Advising All Over Networks

June 23, 2009
My recent comments have all professed the suggestion that it is too early subsequent to Obama's economic policies being implemented to start jumping all over him. In general, I do not think it is going to help us become victorious in 2010 if Conservative media bangs on him every day and continuously as if we were hitting him with a Hindu chant. We should all be a bit more discriminating in what we say about him and when we say it. He has some good days too. The reason I say this seemingly awful stuff is that sure, Obama's numbers are dropping but if you analyze the new electorate on a pie chart, the Republicans cannot win in future elections without the support of moderates, independents, and a fast growing group, Hispanics. The latter is a voting block that judging from what happened with George Bush, we can capture as our voters. All of the individuals in this group of three have a common view of politicians and moderators spewing venom at a fast clip, they do not like it and keep characterizing it as "politics as usual" It's a turn off we cannot afford to have happening. Anyway, things in general are horrible now both domestically and globally while I get to hear a Jan Murray wannabee the other night as a frigate knifed through the Pacific carrying the hint of harmful freight dedicated to the destruction of our beloved citizens. So most of America is already pretty angry and impatient now, I would temper down the strategy we used in 2008 and be more strategic, shoot where the ducks are and remember something chilling for our party. Obama is still a very brilliant and educated politician, you do not want to completely disavow him in June when by the Fall things go his way and all our cares and woes could conceivably improve. I compare it to having a prodigal son in your house who never contributes anything of value. You yell at him to get off his duff and get a job and 8 months later he joins the Trump Organization. Old saying: "Don't Yell Unless You Have To".

This Is Beginning To Look Like A House Of Card Falling Down

January 6, 2008

I like Mr. Obama as just another bloke that I am. I also feel that Michelle Obama has vastly improved her image since her primary mishaps and shown us that she is a wonderful First Lady who puts family first. Let's fact it, Mr. Obama is a good man, extremely brilliant as a Harvard educated attorney. Problem is, there is too much stuff, so to speak that has happened since he was elected and related to the transition that are according to surveys, making Americans nervous about the upcoming Obama Presidency. There are too many huge numbers being batted around which must be added to the bailouts. Windfall profits are gone for the oil giants. Millions of jobs are promised but we do not know their requirements and benefits nor even their categories. From the inner cities to Rodeo Drive, people need jobs that can support their families. Mantra word change and non-specificity is still an everlasting boa constrictor dating back to Primary Day one. The Democrats we were told would step in much earlier then was historically a precedent to at  least accomplish some advance planning. So the idea was not to leave the whole thing to Bush and Cheney. What we did see was distraction after same. I prefaced my remarks by indicating that I have the utmost fondness and affection for the Obamas, they are decent people. I must advise that in blog after blog wherever I traveled across the Internet as a published but journeyman freelance writer since the onset of the primaries I expressed in the clearest terms that I did not think Obama was presidential timber. For weeks now I have been hearing about the buyer's remorse of the MSM. Do you notice that they as a group are starting to be aggressive and zeroing in much more than the coddling days? I may be a small journalist but I am proud of my mentors plying their trade aggressively.

A NOUVEAU WATERGATE MAY BE BREWING

September 19, 2008

From what I am seeing on Fox when I got up this AM, we may be seeing political involvement in the breaking and entry of Sarah Palin's computer, then electronic gathering of of personal information, some described as conceivably classified and then the posting of said material on a separate web site for public inspection. I do not know who these jerks were who committed what appears to be a "wrong way Corrigan" offense but I'll bet the farm that when they are arraigned and then if brought to State and Federal courts to face charges if indicted they will be looking at a Bird Man of Alcatraz stretch if found guilty in all those court systems and the countless counts that may arise. Sarah Palin'computer may turn out to be the Watergate Hotel of the 21 Century. Also, Michelle lost the tempo again when she started a new tactic of innuendo or subliminal  advertising when she joked about a reference to Sarah Palin, a Vice Presidential Candidate and middle aged woman as being "cute", just like Obama used the word  "sweetie" at an airport, addressing a woman he did not know and then in a gauche and unsolicited manner obtained her phone number and gratuitously called her at home to make political hay. Did these two really have Harvard Law Degrees.? From what I have seen through Election 2008 I would go pro se in a corporate fraud deal in a State Supreme court rather then having them on the case. Please consider this, I have never won one solitary argument in my own 30 year marriage. Voters also, are beginning to figure out that if elected, Obama's wife Michelle will be the Dick Cheney of his administration. I will give you one of those New York City expressions that people living in other states will not recognize, if the Obamas somehow wind up in the White House, we are all "going down the tubes". Okay, the tubes are trains that go from Manhattan to Hoboken, New Jersey.
